WHO WAS INVOLVED:Lieutenant General Jean Rochambeau led the 5,500 French troops to reach America in 1780. George Washington was the leader of the Americans. Admiral Francois de Grasse helped General George Washington. General Cornwallis led the British against the Americans. General Cornwallis was not there to give the sword in a sign of surrender. Instead, in his place General Charles O' Hara was there. General Washington saw what they were doing, he selected General Benjamin Lincoln to represent the Americans.
WHAT HAPPENED:The Treaty of Paris was one of the documents that was resulted from the war. It acknowledged the independence of the United States and established the new nations borders
WHEN DID IT TAKE PLACE:The united states had won and they got Independence
